Penny Panayotopoulou – Short Curriculum Vitae

Born in Athens, she studied law at the University of Athens and film directing at Stavrakos Film School. In 1985, she received her BA in Photography and Film from the Polytechnic of Central London (University of Westminster). She is currently in the stage of pre-production for her film "40 Days" (a Greek, French and German co-production). Her films have won many awards and participated in international festivals. Since 1994 she has been working freelance producing and directing documentaries and films for National Greek Television. From 2004 to 2008 she was teaching at the Film Department of Aristotle University in Thessaloniki and since 2016 she is teaching film directing at Artistic School of Gerakas, at Stavrakos Film School and at IEK Akmi.
