Three refugees, members of the Greek minority of Northern Epirus in Albania, flee across the Greek-Albanian border on foot and make it to Greek territory for a better future. These men are Thomas, Achilleas and ten-year-old Nikos, who recently lost his parents. They manage to get to Athens where they will face hunger, humiliation, and racism. "In Albania they call us Greeks and in Greece Albanians...", Thomas tells Achilles. When Thomas tragically loses his life, his companions decide to return to their village in Albania.

The film won the Golden Unicorn for Best Film at the Amiens International Film Festival and the FIPRESCI Prize, Golden Alexander and Greek Competition Award for Best Film, Best Screenplay and Best Cinematography at the Thessaloniki International Film Festival.
