At Zabriskie Point, in Death Valley, two perfect strangers meet and start off an unrestrained romance. He is a young activist who’s wanted by the authorities for allegedly killing a policeman during a student riot and she is an anthropology student who’s helping a property developer build a village in the Los Angeles desert and has just quitted her job.
Zabriskie Point is the only film that the great auteur shot in the USA.
The leading roles were played by Daria Halpirn and Mark Frechette who were both non-professional actors.
