On a cold night, a lonely young man, Mario, meets a lonely young woman, Natalia. Mario is lonely as a newcomer to town and Natalia is lonely as she has always lived in isolation, even in the heart of the city. Her loneliness is intensified because she is in love with a man who may not ever return to her, but who continues to occupy her heart to the exclusion of any other possible relationship. On the next night, Natalia meets Mario by chance and they spend the snowing night together, dancing, chatting and drinking, and Mario falls in love with her.
