The people who live in a poor Athenian neighborhood are trying to escape from poverty and deprivation. Recently released from prison, Ricos is trying to make some money, while his girlfriend is seeing other men, and her brother is trying to contribute to the household’s finances. Rikos thinks of a job, but he has to spend the money, driving one of his partners to commit suicide.
