Writer Paul Javal is invited to write an all-new script for Homer’s Odyssey, being made in Capri by director Fritz Lang with American funding. While the money is good, Paul is having trouble balancing artistic integrity with financial security-and also having to contend with a marriage crashing onto the rocks. His happy days of marriage to his beautiful wife Camille seem to disappear by the time the movie’s brash American producer Jeremy Prokosch appears between them.

Based on Alberto Moravia’s novel of the same name.
