Hamdias, a film director, has just started filming a movie whose main theme is torture. During filming the limits between reality and fiction seem to gradually vanish. Nevertheless the film is soon interrupted. At first hand because of a lack of capital but mainly because Hamdias is killed under tragic circumstances. After a while, Gaila, his girlfriend and also the main actress of his film, sets about continuing his work...a deeply disturbing film about human frame of mind which, at it’s first screening in April 1976, was withdrawn from the three Parisian cinemas in less than a week.

In 2005 Papatakis re-edits the film by removing and adding scenes and by changing the music score.
