Alinda Dimitriou’s documentary ‘’Among the Rocks’’ refers to women who fought in the Civil War. After the signing of the Treaty of Varkiza, 33 women witness how they managed to escape to the mountains while others were arrested and condemned to life imprisonment, executed or sent into exile.
“Among the Rocks” is the second part of a trilogy that highlights the feistiness and strength of the female soul via personal accounts and evidence. It follows “Birds in the Mire” (2008) and is followed by “The Girls of the Rain” (2012).
