A rough mountain man leaves his village and goes to town and the harbor from where he will sail to Australia. We watch his descent to the sea, through three stories. At first he finds work with an ironworker he knows. Next, he meets a wild girl whose destiny is to end up in a whorehouse. Finally, in the port of Piraeus, he will stay in the poor home of a couple that’s breaking up, he’ll get
to know the humiliated and exhausted woman and together they will get on the boat of emigration
