Vadim  is  twenty-two  and  he’s  a  sound  engineer.  He’s  moving  permanently to Canada in three months. Before his departure he’s assigned to record the voice of a very rare bird, which dwells only in the Transcarpathian mountains of Ukraine.

The debut full-length feature of director Antonio Lukich.The film premiered at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and won the Special Jury Prize in the East of the West competition.

Based  on  true  events,  the  film  tells  the  story  of  one  of  the  last  Western manhunts. After  being  blacklisted  from  Hollywood  for  21  years,  Abraham  Polonsky  made a comeback directing this film; he had not directed a film since "Force of Evil" in 1948.

Summer  of  1949:  The  Greek  civil  war  is  drawing  to  its  end.  The  last  rebels  of  the  Greek  People’s  Liberation  Army  are  forced  to  leave  Taigetos  Mountain  and  move  towards  the  coast.  During  this  hopeless long course, the rebels will fall one by one from the fires of the reconstructed national army and the armed villagers. Nasios, an eighteen years old young man, is the only one to survive.

The film won the Golden Prize at the 14th Moscow International Film Festival and three Awards at Thessaloniki Film Festival (1984).

Alinda  Dimitriou’s  documentary  ‘’Among  the  Rocks’’  refers  to  women who fought in the Civil War. After the signing of the Treaty of  Varkiza,  33  women  witness  how  they  managed  to  escape  to  the mountains while others were arrested and condemned to life imprisonment, executed or sent into exile.

“Among the Rocks” is the second part of a trilogy that highlights the feistiness and strength of the female soul via personal accounts and evidence. It follows “Birds in the Mire” (2008) and is followed by “The Girls of the Rain” (2012).

The  documentary  depicts  the  role  of  women  during  extreme  historical   events.   More   specifically,   the   film   refers   to   the   participation and contribution of women to the Greek Resistance during  the  German  Occupation  as  well  as  to  the  tortures  they  suffered. The film is based on the oral testimonies of those women that survived.
